The data is also available on the Internet from the host opus.aae.uiuc.edu using anonymous FTP. See the file /pub/lsat/AIRFOIL.DATA for directions on which files to copy. Also the data can be found on the World Wide Web by starting at the site http://www.uiuc.edu/ph/www/m-selig/ and follow the links to the UIUC Low Speed Airfoil Tests. Is the data available on diskettes? Yes, all of the airfoil coordinates and performance data presented are available on IBM and Macintosh compatible diskettes through SoarTech Publications. SoarTech will be returning a portion of the proceeds from all disk and book sales to help support the continuation of these airfoil wind tunnel tests. These funds are vital and provide a significant portion of the total project funding. Write to: SoarTech Publications c/o Herk Stokely 1504 N. Horseshoe Circle Virginia Beach, VA 23451 email: herkstok@aol.com Is pitching moment data available? Not for the Volume 1 and 2 data sets, but it is available for Vol 3. ********************************************************************** * IMPORTANT NOTES, ETC. * ********************************************************************** The airfoil performance data is copyrighted, and restrictions are placed on its use. The data may be freely copied and used in any way, e.g., for personal use, in magazine articles or with a commercial product. If the data is used in a magazine article or book, the author must reference the appropriate volume of Summary of Low-Speed Airfoil Data and give the address of where it can be obtained. If the data is used in a commercial product, there must be no extra charges for providing it - other than the cost of reproduction and distribution. All products that make use of this data must conspicuously state that it was produced under the UIUC Low-Speed Airfoil Test program, and no restrictions can be placed on the recipient with respect to their use of the source data. Furthermore, they must be allowed to copy the original data and freely distribute it as well. It is in this sense that all access to this data is free. More details can be found in the general public license (file: GPL.TXT). A copy of the license, the copyright notice and the UIUC Low-Speed Airfoil Tests Manifesto (file: MANIFEST.TXT which ever is most recent) must be included with each distribution of the data.
